Premier Princess Parties was created by Katie DeFalco. After her training in New York at The American Musical & Dramatic Academy (AMDA) and The School for Film & Television, now the New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts (NYCDA) Katie began working as an actress, mostly doing commercials and voice over work. Upon moving to Chicago she began picking up more and more waitressing shifts to pay the rent and working less and less creatively. Deciding that it was time to "grow up" and get a "real job" with health insurance and a stable income; she joined corporate America. Shortly after giving up her dream of making a living in the arts and on her own terms, she was approached by a family friend for a favor... to dress up as Cinderella for her daughter's third Birthday party. She figured, sure... why not... it would be cute and she was happy to help out. During the party all of the Mom's started approaching her about doing this full time. But Katie had just started working at a Fortune 500 company and was looking for her niche in the corporate world - she was not about to give up that security to dress up as a Princess! Well after two and a half years there, the corporate culture had lost its lure. Katie began to think creatively again. Would she go back to school? Maybe become a pastry chef, she loved to bake. After interviewing with several schools, it just hit her while she was staring at her computer screen in her drab gray cubicle...Princess Parties!!! She knew there was a market for it. And she knew she had what it took to make it happen. Finally, after all these years there was a clarity to how she could package her skills and talents. Katie had been praying for a purpose and a direction - this was it. Katie credits her faith and the encouragement and support received from Family and Friends (especially Steve, Julie, and Dee) in Premier Princess Parties success. As for the Princess characters, only the best students from the top Musical Theater Programs in Chicago, including Columbia College, DePaul University, and Loyola are hired to work as our Premier Princess Characters. Our talented Princess Characters are great with children and embrace their character portrayal completely; it is truly magical to see! That's the best part, Premier Princess Parties takes the pressure off the parents to keep everyone entertained. Once we arrive parents can just enjoy the party and watch their child's face light up with amazement. It's the party you dreamed of having as a child!
